Yishak Teklegiorgis
Yishak, Co-founder of Zorit Architects, is a Practicing Professional Architect and Urban Designer with a passion for collaborative research and projects and currently enrolled in a doctoral program, Yishak has extensive academic credentials and experience. He has contributed to numerous collaborative research projects internationally with prestigious institutions KU Leuven and Stuttgart academy of Art (ABK). Yishak was recognized for his outstanding work in participatory planning practices by Prince Clause Mentorship Award, 2022, the Netherland. Yishak is dedicated to exploring Architecture and Urban Design as essential instruments for social improvement.
Eden Dereje
Eden, Co-founder of Zorit Architects, is Practicing Professional Urban Planner and Housing expert. She has an international exposure at Stuttgart academy of Art (ABK), Germany on research based urban design under the framework of African urbanity. Her deep commitment lies in community preservation and affordable housing. Eden explores innovative and creative “bottom-up” urban planning strategies as a solution to urban problems. She is also currently enrolled as a PhD researcher.
Mahlet Kindie
Mahlet is a passionate architect who has recently graduated from Wolkite University. With her fresh perspective and innovative mindset, she is eager to bring her knowledge and skills to real-world projects. She joined Zorit’s team as a graduate Architect.
Debora Lukas
Debora is a recent graduate of Architecture from Addis Ababa University. She has strong sensitivity towards detail, ensuring that each project is executed to the highest standard. Her commitment and dedication to excellence make her an invaluable member of our team.
Betelhem tigabu
Betelhem is a recent graduate in Architecture from Bahirdar University. Her hardworking nature and positive attitude make her a valued team member. She consistently meets project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality in her work. She is proactive in taking on new challenges and is always eager to learn from her experiences.
Melkamu Dabas
Melkamu is an Urban Planning professional. His expertise lies in the realm of urban mobility, where he dedicates his efforts to understanding and enhancing various modes and designs. Currently pursuing his doctoral research in integrated transport management at Addis Ababa University, Melkamu brings immense value to our firm on a project by project basis.
Tsega Beyene
Tsega is practicing architect and Urban Designer. Her particular area of expertise lies in developing climate-responsive design practices, with an emphasis on water responsiveness and ecologically friendly design practices. Currently pursuing her PhD at Addis Ababa University, Tsega is an expert in her field and works with our firm on a project basis.
Simret Arega
Simret is a dedicated urban designer with a passion for creating inviting public spaces. Her expertise in research-based urban design enables her to implement cutting-edge solutions that prioritize functionality and aesthetics. Simret is committed to creating spaces that foster community engagement and enhance the overall quality of life for their users. She has joined hands with Zorit for collaborating on a project basis.
Bethelhem G/medhin
Bethelhem G/medhin is an urban designer with international exposure. Her passion for street characters and livability drives her work, aiming to create spaces that enhance the quality of life for their users. Through her innovative design solutions, She is partnering with Zorit for project collaboration.
Tinsae Yitbarek
Tinsae Yitbarek, rising fourth year architecture student from Bahir Dar University. He aspire to use architecture as a tool for shaping the future and enhancing the overall well-being of mankind. Besides architecture, He work as a product designer and woodworker.
Eyob Dagne
Eyob is a dedicated and aspiring intern at Zorit Architects, currently just finished his 4th year of studying Architecture at Addis Ababa University_ EiABC. He joined the team as part of his internship program in June 2024, showcasing his commitment to gaining practical experience in the field.
Nahusenay seyoum
Nahusenay is a enthusiastic intern at Zorit Architects, currently just finished his 3th year of studying Architecture at Addis Ababa University-EiABC. He joined the team as part of his internship program in August & September, 2024, eager to apply my knowledge and skills to contribute to innovative architectural projects & learn from experienced professionals
Yonas Meseret
Yonas Meseret is a third-year Architecture student at the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction, and City Development (EiABC). His approach to architecture emphasizes participation and a dedication to providing innovative solutions for complex challenges. In August and September, 2024 Yonas joined Zorit Architects as part of his internship.

Biruk Alemu, an architecture student at Addis Ababa University, EiABC. Biruk has recently completed his third year of study and has gained valuable experience during his time at EiABC. Currently, he has joined the Zorit Architects and Planners team as part of an internship program for the month of August and September, 2024
